Majesty, luxury, and good luck! Peacocks — symbols of strength, confidence, luck, and royalty — have been celebrated for their glorious and colourful plumage throughout history. This remarkable piece features several dramatic, deliciously rich artworks from the 1600’s by Dutch painter Melchior d’Hondecoeter in a lush palette of crimson, ochre, black and cerulean blue. The whimsical trim is a peacock toile print we created using a reconstructed French textile fragment from the same era.
This dress is reversible! Wear it with the warm golden sunflower on the front, or the graceful diving swallowtail — depending on your mood. The adjustable straps, oversized cut, and soft, flowy bamboo viscose make it a wardrobe staple for layering, running errands, dancing, lounging or napping — and it’s a must-have for travel, wherever you roam.
Please note: The nature of our soft bamboo/wood viscose means it’s slightly sheer, so we recommend layering it with our Étoile slip (or any other slip you have) when wearing it with bare legs. Our model in the photos is wearing the dress without a slip.
100% bamboo/wood viscose. Machine wash gentle or handwash and hang to dry. Iron to finish if needed.

L/XL — 134 cm length at shortest strap adjustment, 144cm at longest. Width 57cm (across bust, underarm to underarm), 59 cm (across waist seam). Model is 5’9”, and is wearing a size S/M for reference.
