Some First Nations called the August Moon the Sturgeon Moon because they knew that the sturgeon of the Great Lakes were most readily caught during this phase. The magical pull of this moon has prompted me to scent with our ever popular West Coast Wave blend of Anise + Lavender. Anise is known to remove scent from hard working hands while Lavender soothes and heals.

Strawberry-picking season reaches its peak during this time. First Nations communities gather berries and wild roses come into bloom. Where strawberries are not native this moon is also known as the Rose Moon; inspiring me to scent with Strawberry a touch of Rose + green grass. Triple milk has been added to moisturize and protect while our custom clays clarify and cleanse.
