Wildwood Reversible Frock Dress

Our Vancouver Island headquarters for Market of Stars borders a hundred acres of wild woodland, where we can often be found roaming through the trees and dreaming up new designs. This soft, ethereal dress was developed using an archival print from the 1870s entitled “The Home of the Deer” — a work that perfectly captures the calming majesty of the forest. We deconstructed it to create the panels on the dress, with songbirds and sunshine on the sleeves. The bottom reads, ‘My poems wait in the wild places where my heart wanders’, but — because this dress is reversible — it can also be read as ‘Where my heart wanders, my poems wait in the wild places’.

Like all of our reversible dresses, this piece features a scoop neckline on one side, and a v-neck with ties on the other. The adjustable waist ties can be done up in either the front or the back depending on your desired look — or buttoned off altogether for a more oversized flowy vibe.

Please note: The nature of our soft bamboo/wood viscose means it’s slightly sheer, so you may wish to wear a full or half-slip with this style (not included). Our model in the photos is wearing the dress without a slip.

100% bamboo/wood viscose. Machine wash gentle or handwash and hang to dry.

Unlined. One Size, fits XS-XL. Measures 62cm across the bust, 59cm across the waist, 106 cm long. Model is 5’4” for reference.
